MINT Polo in the Park 2011 was launched with the lovely Jodie Kidd arriving at the Hurlingham club in the Harrods Horse and Carriage! Met by some of the professional Polo players from the event, she unveiled the teams in anticipation of the most exciting and glamorous sporting events in central London!

MINT Polo in the Park kicks off with City Friday. Three polo matches throughout the day featuring all our teams will begin to decide who will make Sundays final.

Friday 8th June – City Friday London’s Summer Office Party

Come and enjoy the Harrods Food Court, browse around the luxury shopping village, or relax in the numerous pitch-side bars.

Meanwhile our world class hospitality is being lapped up by our many corporate guests. First they dine in style at the exclusive Hurlingham Club, before heading pitch-side for an afternoon of high-octane polo action. High tea will provided by ‘Rhubarb’ to keep the hospitality flowing into the evening.

Additional entertainment is laid on by The Devil’s Horsemen. This world renowned stunt display team were most recently seen in Steven Spielberg’s epic movie ‘War Horse’. Here they will be stunning the crowd with their amazing feats of horsemanship as they show off their traditional Cossack skills between games.

The growing crowd will be buoyed by our ‘Twilight Polo’ offering – with £10 entrance from 5pm and the event site open until 9pm, it’s the perfect after work spot for meeting friends, relaxing and catching the day’s last game of polo.

City Friday provides the ultimate end to a working week – a great place for an office party, corporate entertainment or just a relaxing drink with friends – and a great excuse to duck out of work early!.

Saturday 9th June – Ladies Day The Social Event of the Summer

Saturday is when MINT Polo in the Park comes into its own. Packed with the fabulous people of London, it is the place to be seen. A full day of entertainment – 3 polo matches, The Devil’s Horsemen stunt team – is matched by our pitch-side offerings.

This year we have doubled the available bar and garden space to ensure quick service and great views of the polo. We’ve also diversified our bar offering ensuring something for everyone – sip champers in style at the glamorous Veuve Clicquot Champagne Garden before sampling the amazing cocktails in the ever popular Polonesia Tiki Bar , join the festival atmosphere with a refreshing pint over at the Crown & Corgi Pub or simply kick-back in a deck chair with an ice cold PIMMS at the PIMMS Bus and Garden.

Away from the bars, the Harrods Food Court will be providing fantastic food with that bit of Harrods magic, meanwhile the luxury shopping village provides a great distraction with great labels and great bargains.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, you’re going to have a great time at MINT Polo in the Park on Ladies Day!

Sunday 10th June – Finals Day A fun and action-packed day for all the family

If you’re bringing your family to MINT Polo in the Park, then Finals Day is your day. With the MINT final and Plate finals being played, you will witness two hard-fought, furious polo battles. Between games you will be entertained by The Devils Horsemen (the stunt display team most recently seen in Steven Spielberg’s epic movie ‘War Horse’ as they show off their incredible Cossack skills.

However, before any of that kicks off, there is 90 minutes of dedicated children’s activity on the field. Arrive early as from 12pm until 1.30pm your kids can enjoy multitude of fun games on the polo field itself in the classic ‘It’s a Knock-Out’ style with a centre feature of giant Sponge Dodge Ball!.

Keep a look out throughout the day as magicians, balloon sculptors and face painters will be circulating the crowd providing additional entertainment and helping create a festival atmosphere. Your children are also welcome to meet the teams after the dames at special signing sessions.

By the end of the day our tournament winners will be crowned and you are welcome to join us on the pitch for the very special prize giving ceremony. This really is the perfect day out and the best possible way to wrap up the weekend!
