Argentine Ambassador's Cup 2013
Camino Real Polo Country Club, as representative on the board of the British Argentinean Chambers of Commerce, has participated on the 7th of July at the Argentine Ambassadors Cup 2013.
The traditional Argentine Ambassador’s Cup has taken place for over 50 years during the prestigious Gold’s Cup quarter finals at Cowdray Park Polo Club.
Like every year, guests gathered at the Argentine marquee enjoyed a day of Polo, savoured delicious Argentine wine and cuisine, socialising in the amasing setting of Cowdray Park Polo Club.
With a long and illustrious history, Cowdray Park is recognized worldwide as the Home of British Polo. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within Viscount Cowdray's 16,500 acre estate in West Sussex, the game of polo has been played at Cowdray for close on a century, with the first competitive tournaments being recorded in 1910.
During the 1930s John Cowdray forged links with Argentina and the Argentine Ambassadors Cup dates back to 1938.
The Trophy is solid silver, made in 1912 and carries the engraving ARGENTINE AMBASSADOR'S CUP 1938.
The Argentine Ambassador's Cup being hosted by the Embassy of Argentina in the United Kingdom attracted many members of the Anglo Argentine business community.
